Maxine is a seasoned traveler who has spent her time trekking through Japan, South East Asia, the West Coast and most recently, India. Having heard that one only earns professional adventurer status after making it through India, Maxine headed there this past year but this time she brought a camera. It is this culmination of her voyages that she is looking to share with the wider Saskatoon arts and photography community. Her photographs are profoundly human, focusing on both intimate and endearing aspects of daily life, human interaction and the stark reality of poverty.

Maxine Panchuk was born in Saskatoon but spent her early years growing up on a farm near Shell Lake. In between her extensive travels, she lives in Saskatoon and works as a waitress while saving money for school in the fall.
